Message from the President

Hi everyone

Even though summer has finally come to Hardwood Ski and Bike and we are fully consumed with mountain biking, we have been hard at work preparing for next winter.
The floor of the pro shop has been repaired, all of the roofs on all of the buildings have been repaired and we have been busy painting the outside of all of our buildings. The only building that is left to paint is the main chalet. We are also in the final process of receiving building permits and tenders for the repairs that we have planned for the interior of the main chalet.
Next winter when you arrive to ski you will find a completely new routing to our trail system. There will be 5 different trails for recreational skiing and a special trail for racing. All together there will be 88 km of new routing for the trails.
Monday to Friday in the winter we will be open from early in the morning until 8 pm to accommodate those skiers who work 9 to 5. These expanded hours will make your winter membership even more valuable as now everyone will have the opportunity to ski every day of the week.
Our winter programming has been expanded and improved and registrations are now being accepted for all of our programs. There is something here for everyone, from Jackrabbits for the kids to Be Fit for adults.
Winter memberships are also still being accepted. Every dollar raised through 10 year lease packages and initiation fees will go to our renovation projects. We are well on our way to raising the money that is needed to complete these projects, however, the more memberships that we have the more that we will be able to do.
A new website for Hardwood Ski and Bike is in the design stages and should be ready by the fall. You will now be able to register for all programs and events on the website as well as purchase pro shop items on line.
The Open House and Ski Swap is scheduled for October 25-26. This will also be the Grand Opening for our new business with plenty of events and information.

Regards,

Jack Sasseville
